README DUTCH TRAINSET v1.0 (March 1st, 2009)
------
INTRODUCTION
------
Today we're proud to unveil the product of many people's imagination, tedious effort, a lot of stamina and even more pixels. We have the honour to present to the tt-forums community:

The Dutch Trainset (for TTDPatch and OpenTTD)

On October 26th of 2003 Hyronymus posted his wish to develop a Dutch Trainset, much inspired by Michael Blunck's revolutionary German Trainset. Upon that post he received much response and the first vehicles were quickly drawn. From that point the challenge became to find a coder. Hyronymus picked this up himself but not after broodje started coding the set. Over time, Michael was used as a reference many a time and at some point we even discussed the possibility of allowing the Dutch and German trainset to "share" ID's.
In the mean time the graphics team was reinforced with the arrival of Bastiaan and Purno. Their desire to draw made progress a lot easier, up to the moment where we arrived at steam engines. Steam engines are difficult and we started becoming demanding of those who drew. Fortunately people like Singaporekid and Snail exist. Snail even created animated steam engines for us to use. They truly are an valuable addition to the set.

It's impossible to stress every aspect of the development of this trainset but one thing stands out. We had some bad luck with finding coders or coding ourselves and we really hope more people take up coding. It's a vital part of developing new graphics for TTDPatch or OpenTTD.

Probably unknown to many we had a lot of fun too, especially at the LAN-parties (mostly accomodated at Purno's), which possibly wouldn't have been organized without this set. These parties kept the spirit alive and offered a valuable face-to-face exchange of ideas, intentions and good old fun.

COMPATIBILITY
------
The Dutch Trainset is NOT compatible with George's ECS Vectors.

------
INSTALLATION
------
You'll need TTD-Patch 2.0 alpha 13 or later, or OpenTTD 0.6.x or later
All downloads and links are at our website http://users2.tt-forums.net/dutchset/

First, you need to determine which type of graphics you are using. You can determine that, by looking at the filename of the original TTD Graphic files.
If those files end with an R, then you're using the Windows-graphics, and you should use the Windows-download.
If those files do not end with an R, then you're using the DOS-graphics, and you should use the DOS-download.

For OpenTTD, unzip the downloaded Zip-file to the /data folder in your OpenTTD installation. Afterwards, go to 'NewGRF Settings', hit 'ADD', and select the 'Dutch Trainset Alpha 1.1' entry in the screen. Finish activating the Trainset with clicking 'Add to Selection' and 'Apply Changes'

For TTDPatch, unzip the downloaded Zip-file to the /newgrf folder in your TTDPatch installation. Finish importing the Dutch Trainset by adding the .grf-file to your newgrf(w).cfg file by adding the line 'newgrf/dutchtrainsw.grf' (for Windows) or 'newgrf/dtrains.grf' (for DOS) at the end of the file.

Be advised, The Dutch Trainset will disable all wagons introduced by trainsets loaded before the Dutch Trainset.
